Around 1980/1 my boyfriend gave me a lady sheaffer ballpoint pen which had a grapevine decoration all over. On our wedding day in 1982 our car was broken into and the only bag stolen contained the aforementioned pen. Does anyone know of this design of pen?

Sheaffer's England?
I am trying to find some facts about Sheaffer's pen was giving me as a gift 15 years ago. Maybe I am
wrong, but I believe there could something unique about this pen, because it was giving me by
exceptional person.
Please, help me find out history about this pen it cares very special memories for me.
Here is information I collected:
1. Fountain pen nib-section has sign "80010 F".
2. Nib labeled: "Sheaffer's 1920 18K 750
STE||PF"
3. Pen's cap labeled "Sheaffer's England".
4. Ball-point pen came with this gift has the same label - "Sheaffer's England".
I would really appreciate any information about this pen.
My best regards to fine writing instruments enthusiasts.

I just joind this site as I am making an effort to catalog my Sheaffer pen collection. I received a Sheaffer pen and pencil set for a college graduation gift in 1972. It says Sterling Silver on it and it has an etched criss cross on the diagonal design on it. Does anyone know the name of this series?
Thanks

Desk Set pen search
I have a base for a schaeffer desk set. There is a sticker on the bottom listing it as J14 Desk set 47114. I am searching for the pens that went with this set, listed as J14/4950, one White Dot pen w/ 14K nib and one White dot Ballpoint. I assume the pens were Black to matck the base. Any ideas where I can find these. Checked Ebay already and didn't see anything that matched. Any help appreciated.

hello to all !
new on this forum, french, and living in Paris...
I have bought a pencil on which is written "Sheaffer 286 Pencil" (the pencil size is 0.5). It looks very much like a TRZ, but I'm not sure...
I'm also very much interested in these old school pens of the seventies, which were translucent. Anyone knows where I can find some ? I would be interested by different colors of the body.

Millennium fountain pen.
Hi, I bought the millennium edition boxed pen, stand & ink. I now find the beautiful pen is a standard balance and not the special edition with the engraved band. Does anyone know where I could get the genuine item?

Just a Hi! as I just joined the list. I'm in Alaska and have a collection of several Sheaffers ranging from very old to new production. I became interested in collection Sheaffer while remembering my high school days ('65-'68) and a fountain pen I had. I would be extemely interested in finding one like it. Satin aluminium barrel and top with black nib unit in what was either XXXF or XXXXF steel. I'll be periodically lurking and will provide info as I can. Good collecting everyone.

I was given a signature pen and pencil, black (white dot, 14 carat nib, band and clip), with a chaps name engraved. The name appears to be Ed or Fred Whitlow. Anybody have any information about this chap. I was told that he worked for Sheaffer, but I may be wrong. Also, a value on the pens may be interesting. they are in very good, almost mint condition, alas, no box though!

I have a 1978 "Crackerjack')fountain pen and want to find out what model it was based on and how many were made. It is marked with BBC TV 1978. with the Crackerjack logo and is made of stainless steel I think. These were rarely given out on the show and would anyone know if these are collectable. Thanks

Clogging and drying up
Sheaffer seems to have reformulated Skrip ink some time in the last few years; I finally ran out of bottled ink, and had to buy a new supply. Almost immediately, I started having problems with nibs clogging and drying up. Switching back to some older Skrip cartridges that I had lying around cured the problem, so it's clearly related to the ink somehow. Anybody else seeing this? Suggestions on what to do?

SS Targa
Have a sterling silver Targa with a checkered pattern. It looks very much (in pattern) like a model 1006 however, the listing does not indicate that the model came in Sterling silver - any ideas on the model# for this one?

Looking for a Pencil
I am trying to find a Slim Targa pencil, Sterling Silver, straight line design, probably #1004. Looks like a 1005 which are plentiful in gold on ebay.
But apparently maybe the design was changed without chnaging the number. What I want is the more bold single line pattern. I have been shipped now three pieces with a very delicate line, which is not what I need.
I had the whole set and loved using it. I left the pencil in a restaurant.
Alternately, since i now have the pencil and ballpoint in the lighter line finish, I could take the Rollerball in that finish.
Any help will be appreciated.

Recently I have got this addiction of collecting Sheaffer and cross pens. But to tell the truth, I am liking sheaffer more than cross because of its style, looks, class and elegance. Last pen I bought is gift collection 2 with marble finish. I am fully satisfied with the instrument. Moreover, its weight is accurate which give good writing and solid grip. Just want to request if its possible to add a roller in the same collection so that i can complete my set.

Greetings, I am new to fountain pen collecting and recently acquired a Sheaffer at an estate sale. I was hoping to get some assistance with identifying aspects of the pen, specifically the approximate year made and anything else unique (value, is it a common pen, etc.).
It is black in color. I believe it is the 'lever-filler' type. The pocket clip and wide cap band are marked 14K. The clutch ring is gold in color, but is not marked. The 4 line embossing appearing horizontally on the pen reads:
"0673", "W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO.", "FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A.", "MADE IN U.S.A.". There are no corporate or personalized engravings.
The nib reads: "SHEAFFERS", "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.", "MADE IN U.S.A.", "14K".
There are no signs of cracks or chips, and the pen seems to have mild, even wear.
I have not attempted to use the pen. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!. Thank you.

Has anyone out there had much experience of the alternate nib sections available for the Targa. I have a 1001xg which has a fine nib and I have recently managed to get hold of a broad left-foot oblique nib and I have fallen helplessly in love with it! It is subtly different from te italic pens I own (Lamy, Rotring and Pilot italic nib and writes with a crisp line and generous ink flow. Anyone had similar experiences?

I had a black slimline targa with gold extra fine nib. I loved it and it had sentimental value, but it got lost or stolen. My wife bought me a mont blanc to replace it, but I hate it. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement slimline targa, preferably with an extra fine nib? I write like a spider....

I recieved a Lady Sheafffer 902 Skripsert pen/pencil set with the Mandarin Red gripping section. It is the Tweed pattern, chrome with gold pattern.
It was a 1961 high school graduation gift, is in excellent condition. and in orginal box. I've seen pricing from $35-200. What is a realistic price for sale on ebay?

1949 Shaeffer Crest Masterpiece
I have what appears to be a 1949 Shaeffer Crest Masterpiece. It has a black barrel, a gold cap, Touchdown filling mechanism, and two-tone 14k nib marked:
Shaeffer's
Made in USA
14K
[serial number]
Am I correct that 1949--the first year for the Touchdown pens--was the only year to have included a serial number on the nib?

In the repair of Snorkels, is it possible to buy new parts -- or do we have to cannibalize another pen to finalize a repair?
It seems there are videos of most everything else today. Are there any repair videos of pen repair?

I have a Sheaffer 501H pen set that I am planning to list on e- bay. I am wondering where to start with pricing. Also it has F1 point and is seems like you would fill by pulling out the end vacuuming up the ink. What do you call this type of filling? I don't know anything about pens and want to list it correctly.

Welcome back Sheaffer forum
Sheaffer's collectors corner was a favorite place. I enjoyed the posts on Sheaffer fountain pens, especially the vintage ones, and was sorry it had to go into hiatus because of (probably) the spam.
I enjoy a large collection of old vintage sheaffer pens, from the hard rubber flattops of the 20's to the Targa's of the 80's.
I hope others start/restart posting with questions and comments.
