Posted: Dec 05, 2009 06:09:15 AM | Jay, since Sheaffer changed to the "balance" shape in 1929, your pen would be between the patent date of 08 and 1929. The nib is not original. Warrented nibs were used on alot of the Lesser brand pens. Most likely an owner along the way bent or broke the original nib and replaced it with this one. |

Posted: Dec 06, 2009 01:52:46 AM | That is the first major imprint and dates the pen to early 1913 through 1914. The nib should be a Sheaffer self-filling nib. Depending on the size of the pen a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8 - most likely a 2 or 3. Roger W. |
