In 1965 Sheaffer made snorkel pens with stainless steel caps, so if it has a tube that extends from under the nib, it might be this pen. You can go to www.richardspens.com and follow the reference links on the upper left to sheaffer pens and you might determine which pen it is. Value, is dependent on condition, and right now the market for mid level vintage pens is rather down. A sheaffer snorkel set in above average condition, unrestored might bring $40-60 on ebay.
