I have a Sheaffer dest set, marble base, pen No.13 Snorkel, pen point unit, Fine. Made in Fort Madison, Iowa. Hasn't been used for years so internal mechanism probably dried out. Any ideas of how to rehabilitate this unit? Thanks

Well a snorkel is not the best pen to start learning how to work on. It requires a new point gasket, a new sac, and a new O ring, assuming everything else is good. There are quite a few vintage pen restorers out there, email me backline, and I will give you a couple names. RAClifford@aol.com
